These three CMPs provide flow to 50,000+ water users in the Pacific Northwest. They are underneath a short road that allows maintenance crews to get across the railroad to one of their offices.
problem
The culvert furthest north failed unexpectedly three weeks before the start of irrigation season. Upon further inspection, the other two culverts were in need of immediate repair.
solution
Within one week of a PO, 100' of 78" and 100' of 72" were delivered from across the country. Between Friday - Tuesday following delivery, the liner was installed, bulkheads were built, and the annular space was grouted (the failed culvert was abandoned/grouted). Despite being down 1 of 3 culverts, the flow improvement from the liner met the required capacity avoiding a very expensive replacement project.
