Shreveport Water & Sewerage repairing transmission main break

"SHREVEPORT, La. — A transmission main break at the T.L. Amiss Water Treatment Plant is causing lower-than-normal water pressure for some residents across Shreveport, city officials said Sunday.
Shreveport Water & Sewerage responded to the break early Sunday morning and said crews are working to isolate the damaged line and assess the extent of repairs needed.
Interim Director of Water and Sewerage Brandon Snead said the size and complexity of the transmission line make it difficult to estimate when service will be fully restored.
“On normal-sized lines and normal situations, I’d be able to tell you three to four hours or three to five hours will have everything back up,” Snead said. “I can’t with this. The size of the line and the sheer complexity of the situation does not allow that because of the issues we are running into and having to navigate around.”"
